Donald Rubbo has walked through fire — carried through it by the hand of God.

      A pioneer in the alternative health field, Donald began his health and fitness career in 1980, teaching martial arts and healing arts classes, workshops, retreats, and Teacher Certification programs, worldwide, for decades. A man of inner strength and integrity, he taught and mentored many young men. In 1997, Donald cofounded the Paul D. Pickens II Research Foundation, a 501(c)3 nonprofit, which brought health and wellness programs into American hospitals — a nationwide first. He ran Five Tigers Martial Arts Summer Day Camp for three years. Donald was honored by two sitting U.S. Presidents for his community work. He is the co-author of four books reaching readers in several languages.

      In 2014, Donald was struck with a devastating, undiagnosable illness — years of seizures, nerve pain, and symptoms no doctor could treat. And yet, what medicine could not touch, God healed.

      During one miraculous encounter, Holy Spirit descended upon him as he lay lifeless, raised him up, and sent him to the summit of Mt. Tamalpais with a divine commission. On August 16, 2016, that commission was fulfilled: Yeshua’s Healing and Deliverance Ministry was born.

      Donald’s life is not just a story of survival. It is a testimony of resurrection — and he prays it over you now.

Cheryl Lynne Rubbo did not find God — He came and He found her, in the darkest valley she had ever walked.

      In 1973, Cheryl Lynne broke barriers as one of the first women in the U.S. to study Chinese martial arts, training under the legendary Kuo Lien Ying at San Francisco’s Portsmouth Square. With fierce grace, she mastered empty-hand techniques and weapons forms, wielding the Chinese broadsword with particular grace and skill. It was there, in 1976, that she met Donald Rubbo, her future husband and partner in life and work. 

      A co-pioneer in the alternative health field, along with Donald, in 1997 the Rubbos co-founded Paul D. Pickens II Research Foundation, a 501(c)3 nonprofit, named in honor of her brother, Paul, who had passed away in 1995 from HIV/AIDS. The nonprofit brought free wellness programs into American hospitals, a nationwide first. She is the co-author of four books translated into several languages.

      For years, she sat next to her husband Donald as he suffered through his illness, at times near death, praying him back to life when medicine had no answers. She witnessed his miraculous revival, walked with him up a mountain when he could barely stand, and watched Holy Spirit heal him, one impossible day at a time. From that crucible of suffering and faith, Yeshua’s Healing and Deliverance Ministry was born.
